7 people wounded in Denver drive-by shooting

DENVER (AP) – A drive-by shooting in Denver left seven people wounded and one of them was critically hurt.

The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. Wednesday near 25th Avenue and Ogden Street.

Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson says a group of men were gathered outside an apartment complex when a sport-utility vehicle or pickup drove by and someone inside it opened fire.



Six people had minor or non-life threatening wounds. The person with serious injuries is being treated at Denver Health Medical Center.

Jackson did not discuss a motive. He says detectives are waiting to talk to victims.
