Advocates Taste of Fall organizers appreciate support
October 12, 2010
The Second Annual Taste of Fall was the place to be on Sept. 18. The Inn at SilverCreek was truly the perfect venue as participants enjoyed listening to live music while bidding on all the fantastic silent auction items. Music was provided by Oly, Steve Cormey, Ali and Brian Grayson, and Peggy Mann. Even Washboard Annie stopped in to scratch along with a few songs. Tables were decorated with colorful creations donated by Freeta Goodhome for Grand Dog. The aroma of the fabulous food was only half as good as the food itself – and there was plenty. Knowledgeable vintners and brewers were there explaining about wines and beer from Colorado and other places. There were many happy auction goers as they perused the silent auction and found fabulous deals on donated items from our generous community. Thanks to our tireless Board Members and Volunteers and a special thanks to Chelsea Gould for pulling it all together. Executive Director, Deb Bittner, reported that the event more than doubled fundraising efforts from last year’s event.
