Grand Dog candidate: Django
August 5, 2016
Grand Dog is a collaborative fundraiser for Advocates for a Violence-Free Community and Grand County Pet Pals to raise awareness that violence affects everyone in the home- adults, children, and pets. Every week we will be highlighting a different “candidate”. To see all of the candidates and vote for your favorite, please visit gcadvocates.org.
Django is a three and a half year old Alaskan Klee Kai. While he lived all over the US for his first two years (Maryland, Nashville, and Austin), he’s finally found home in Grand County, Colorado! Django loves the outdoors and he loves the snow, so there is no place he’d rather be. His long legs and thick fur are perfect for running through even the deepest powder.
Though he loves the snow, Django’s favorite hobby is curling up on the couch. He rests as hard as he plays, and if you find him during some downtime, you might notice him talking with the vocals of a husky. He often has a lot to say! Django gets along with everyone and everything. He’s had a lot of roommates over the years, from four college boys to a golden retriever to his current buddies Badger and Bevo. He can also be found meeting the local wildlife, even once chasing a bear. Though Django might be little, he more than makes up for his small stature with big confidence. And if that weren’t enough reasons to like him, he’s smart, too!
With his knack for conversation, his propensity for love, and his adorable mug, what’s not to like? From the moment you see him, you’ll fall in love with his heart and his smile. His playful demeanor and loving nature make him a sweetheart and a handful. Django would make the perfect Grand County Grand Dog. Please vote for Colorado’s most playful little husky, Django!
