“Super Moon” rises over the Indian Peaks near Winter Park on Sunday, November 13, 2016. The last time a full moon was this close to Earth was 68 years ago and according to the US Census, less than 10 percent of today’s US population was alive to see it. NASA says that “a supermoon can appear as much as 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than the average full moon” and “it’ll be another 18 years before the full moon gets this close to Earth again”.
