Barbara Jean "Jeanne" Stathos Parrott: 1932-2012

Jeanne Stathos passed away on April 19, 2012, at the age of 80 years young at Lutheran Exempla. Jeanne was residing in Lakewood at the time of her death.

Barbara “Jeanne” Parrott was born on Feb. 10, 1932, in Minco, Okla., to Clarence “Rudy” and Mary Parrott. Jeanne moved to Grand County with her parents in 1937 so her father could work as a ranch hand and her mother as a cook on their brother-in-law, Fay DeBerard’s ranch now called the Grand River Ranch and then later on the Bill Yust place on the Blacktail. The family then moved to Kremmling where her parents owned and operated Rudy’s Motel and Groceries. She attended Kremmling Union High School until her marriage to Marion Lee Stathos on Sept. 15, 1949. Jeanne worked at several trades including electronics in California and Delta, Colo., owned and operated Jeanne’s Flowers in Kremmling, then Jeanne’s Upholstery in Kremmling and kept books for her family’s construction company Casa Bello and then All Parks Construction. In 1986 Jeanne and Marion then moved to Arboles, Colo., where they operated the San Juan Marina on Navajo Lake with her brother and family friends. In retirement they moved to Parachute, Colo., then Cedaredge and finally settled in Delta. Marion passed away April 7, 2007, so Jeanne moved to Lakewood to be closer to family.

Jeanne loved to play games whether it was cribbage, pinochle, dominoes, scrabble or any card game. She was an excellent bowler and racked up 600 series and a high game of 266. She loved to travel and did so throughout her life.



She is preceded in death by her father, mother and husband. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Haynes (Ken); brother Terry Parrott (Rynda); Granddaughter Becky Lemley (Larry); Grandson Tim Haynes (Jenna); and great-grandsons Cody and Trent Lemley and Cooper Haynes; Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lloyd and LaVerne Bock; and many nephews and nieces.

Services were held on Monday, April 23, 2012, at the Kremmling Community Church. Donations may be made to West Grand Community Educational Foundation, P.O. Box 1542, Kremmling, CO 80459.
