Beaver Creek ski patrol rescues missing woman

BEAVER CREEK – Beaver Creek ski patrol rescued a woman who was reported missing after apparently skiing out of bounds, said Daniel Hanson, a deputy with the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

Ski patrol found the woman around 6:30 p.m. on a ridge, Hanson said. Patrollers were estimating it would take 45 minutes to an hour to get her down. She was uninjured, he said. Rescuers got the woman down safely around 8:15 p.m., after helping her rappel down a cliff.

Ski patrollers told Hanson around 4:30 p.m. that they had assembled a team to look for the woman, he said. No more information was available at 9:15 p.m. Monday.
