Granby Police, with the assistance of the Parker Police Department, The Grand County District Attorney’s Office, the Grand County Coroner’s Office, and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, are investigating two deaths that occurred early Wednesday morning near SolVista ski area.

According to Granby Police, they and a team of other officers responded at about 5 a.m. on April 7 to an address on Saddle Horn Court after receiving an alert from the Parker Police Department that a 38-year-old female had allegedly been kidnapped by her former 53-year-old boyfriend. The boyfriend, according to police, had a prior conviction for second-degree murder.

When police arrived at the scene, they discovered the boyfriend’s car at a nearby house on Timber Court, which police surrounded. They heard a single gunshot inside the residence and gained access through a window.

Inside, police discovered the bodies of a man and a woman. Positive identification as the pair in question is pending.

Police did not fire any shots during the incident, according to officers.

According to the Parker Police Department, the FBI was involved in the search for the male suspect.
