Choice of Sarah Palin as VP candidate was insulting
December 2, 2008
To the Editor:
In response to the letter to the editor by Don Waldron: Sir, Sen. John McCain insulted the U.S. populace and particularly women by allowing the Republican machine to dictate the choice of Sarah Palin as vice-presidential candidate.
There are many competent Republican women out there who would have strengthened his ticket, the party and our country. They chose “arm candy” over intelligence and substance.
When the Republicans get serious about treating women as more than “the Little Woman,” I will again consider them for political positions.
