Don’t be alarmed: Emergency drill at Middle Park High School not real

Citizens can expect to see a significant number of emergency vehicles located at or around Middle Park High School from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28. On this day, “A practice exercise will be taking place and no emergency will actually exist at the high school,” said Granby Police Chief Bill Housley.

Electronic sign boards will be placed around the area, Housley said, to remind citizens of the practice exercise involving local law enforcement agencies, fire departments, the Granby Medical Center and Grand County Emergency Services in conjunction with the East Grand School District.

For additional information or questions, contact Granby Police Chief Bill Housley at 970-887-9282 or at 970-531-7722.
