Grand Lake’s Roadhouse Grill under new ownership

Jessica SmithSky-Hi News

The Roadhouse Grill in Grand Lake changed hands this summer, and is now under the ownership of Bob Nicholls and Kevin Leppke.

Nicholls, who previously managed the Lariat Saloon, jumped at the “business opportunity” that the Roadhouse Grill presented. He and Nicholls made a few changes to the menu and the interior layout.

“We changed [the menu] around so it’s more of a bar menu, with nightly specials,” Nicholls said. “We moved stuff around [inside] so it’s a little bit cozier.”

The Roadhouse Grill is also now open for lunch, which it wasn’t under the previous owners. It serves primarily “American”-style food including burgers, fish and chips, Reuben sandwiches, and more. Prime Rib Night is every Saturday, and Friday features fried dishes.

“We’re just trying to be a reasonably priced place that people can come to and have a good time,” Nicholls said.

The Roadhouse Grill is at 10188 US Hwy 34 in Grand Lake.
