Fraser museum displays works by local artists

FRASER – Cozens Ranch Museum kicks off the holiday season with an exhibit and sale of artworks by local artists. Outstanding and unique work by favorite Grand County artists is on display and for sale. View art in diverse styles, media, abilities, and price ranges – all in smaller sizes. Enjoy photography, textiles, glasswork, monotype prints, wood work, and paintings in watercolor, oil, and acrylic. Purchasers may take art with them at time of sale. The Free Cider Saturday features Penny and Bill Hamilton: artists, aviation experts, authors, and Granby residents.Schedule: Noon-1 p.m. Meet and greet Penny (photographer, author) and Bill (author). They will sign their books, “The Grand Conspiracy,” “The Panama Conspiracy” and “The Berlin Conspiracy.”1-1:30 p.m.: Author Talk about writing historical fiction with Bill and Penny.2-3 p.m.: Aviation Art with Penny. In celebration of Aviation History Month, Penny will lead children ages 6 to 17 to fly their imaginations with “Kids Aviation Art” and “My Favorite Air Sport.” This free children’s community art event encourages young artists to draw their ideas about aviation sports as helicopters, planes, hot air balloons, and parachuting.If the young artist and their parent/guardian choose, completed art aviation projects will be submitted to the 2013 Colorado Aviation Contest for consideration in the annual State, National, and International competitions.
