Fraser puts Grand Park sign code on ice
January 10, 2010
The Fraser board of trustees closed its hearing on amendments to the Grand Park sign code Wednesday night after developer Clark Lipscomb failed to appear at the meeting or to provide the requested revisions.
“I am getting really frustrated with this,” said Trustee Scotty Brent, who was reluctant to continue the hearing into its sixth month.
Lipscomb did not return a phone call late last week.
The proposed amendments started with the planning commission on Feb. 25, 2009, and were passed to the town board Aug. 19.
The board made no decision about whether to adopt the amendment as it stands and will re-advertise the hearing if Lispcomb provides the requested revisions.
In the meantime, the board said it has learned a lot from the process and plans to move forward with revisions to the Fraser sign code in the months to come.
