Grand County Court report – Sept. 24

The combined courts at Hot Sulphur Springs were not in session every day last week, leading to a lighter than usual sentencing docket. Among the sentences handed down in Grand County Court last week were:

Christopher J. Farris, 33, of Byers, was found guilty of driving under restraint and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for three days served. He was also ordered to pay fines and costs of $279.50 and to perform 36 hours of community service.

Ezra Earl Wallace, 32, of Granby, was found guilty of 3rd degree assault and was sentenced to 16 days in jail with credit for 15 days served and one year of unsupervised probation. He was also ordered to pay fines and costs of $293, to perform a total of 48 hours of community service, to write a sincere letter of apology to the victim, and to make a $100 contribution to The Advocates.

Jose Rodriquez-Flores, 42, of Granby, was found guilty of disorderly conduct – fighting in public and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended and credit for three days served. He was also ordered to pay fines and costs of $334.50

Adam L. Mumm, 32, of Fraser, was given a deferred sentence of two years of unsupervised probation on a charge of financial transaction device – unauthorized use. He was also ordered to pay fines, costs and restitution of $840.92, to perform 80 hours of community service, and to make a $250 contribution to the Mountain Family Center.

Andrea Deniise Odom, 34, of McAlester, Okla., was given a deferred sentence of one year of unsupervised probation on a charge of harassment by strike/shove/kick. She was also ordered to pay fines, fees and costs of $312.50, to undergo a violence evaluation, and to perform 40 hours of community service.

Hannah Y. Micley, 21, of Longmead, Mass., was fined $299.50 for speeding 20-24 mph over the limit.

Julia A. Turner, 46, of Winter Park, was fined $188.50 for speeding 10-19 mph over the limit.

James A. Sander, 55, of Lakewood, was fined $188.50 for speeding 10-19 mph over the limit.

Thomas M. Santa Maria, 46, of Colorado Springs, was fined $138.50 for not using a child restraint.

Douglas A. Dennis, 20, of Rifle, was fined $128.50 for not using a seat belt.

John J. Cryan, 45, of Denver, was fined $128.50 for not using a seat belt.

Matthew P. Henba, 22, of Westminster, was fined $128.50 for not using a seat belt.

Kelly A. Will, 41, of Platteville, was fined $128.50 for not using a seat belt.

Timothy A. Kline, 27, of Fraser, was fined $128.50 for not using a seat belt.

Eric Scheitler, 48, of Golden, was fined $103.50 for failure to use a turn signal.

Gary Frey, 57, of Aurora, was fined $103.50 for failure to use a turn signal.

Larry Bader, 46, of Platteville, was fined $103.50 for failure to use a turn signal.

Ryan Thompson, 31, of Steamboat Springs, was fined $98.50 for not using a seat belt.

James G. Hemsworth, 44, of Fraser, was fined $69.50 for not having the registration in the vehicle.
