Grand County gift drive begins Saturday

Santa has arrived early this year in Grand County. Come to the former Seven Sister Space in the Fraser Valley Shopping Center to pick up new and like-new items for FREE on Friday, November 20 Saturday, November 21 from 10 to 4 pm on And again on Friday, November 27 and Saturday November 28.

There will be items for children and adults. Volunteers will gift wrap items on the way out (for free, too). DiAnn Butler of Fraser came up with the idea when she looked at a closet filled with gifts and household items that have never been used. “In this economy it’s time to give back and a way for the community to give to each other.” Butler decided to add a donation jar at the event to benefit Mountain Family Center because they are the direct connection to families in need in Grand County. Since the Grand County Food Bank is also in need of non-perishable items for the upcoming holidays, there will be a box for food donations, as well. (all optional).

Butler is also asking for new or like-new items for the event such as toys, books, and household items. Please go through your toy chest or closet and make someones Christmas. Coats are welcome but no clothes. Please contact DiAnn at 970-531-1343 to schedule a drop off.
