by Cyndi PalmerGrand County Homes and Properties

Vision Land Consultants of Golden recently purchased G&H Consulting Engineers in Granby.G&H, previously owned by Bill Hayne and Tim Gagnon, has been providing civil engineering and land surveying in Grand County for eight years. Gagnon, P.E. remains on staff as the branch manager of the Granby office; Hayne, P.E. will be a division manager and provide assistance during the transition from the corporate headquarters. The two join the companys team of more than 40 highly qualified technicians.I perceive the absorption of G&H by Vision Land as a win-win-win situation. What I mean by that is that not only will the principals of the respective firms win but the clients and staff as well, Hayne said. At G&H, we built our reputation on honesty and quality work. It did not take long to realize that Vision Land uses much the same model, along with cutting edge technology. Over the last few years, G&H has been turning down work simply due to lack of the necessary work force. Now, that wont be a problem. I am looking very forward to getting to know the individuals and their respective talents here at the Vision Land corporate headquarters, along with technical efficiencies and applying them to provide top-notch engineering services.Vision Land Consultants has also expanded its service to include a branch office in Rifle. Randy Hergenrether of Vision Land Consultants is relocating to the new Rifle office and will serve as the branch manager there. The company has been providing quality civil engineering and construction management in the Rocky Mountain region and surrounding states for a decade. The common culture, work ethic, client relationships, and engineering talent at G&H were key factors in the development of this relationship and acquisition, said Derek Williams, president and CEO of Vision Land Consultants. Through this acquisition, Vision Land Consultants will create a workforce of people with exceptional talent in all areas of land development, public infrastructure and construction management. The opening of the Rifle office and the acquisition of G&H in Granby provides for a basis for successfully expanding the companys presence on the Western Slope. As a bonus, Vision Land Consultants is now providing structural engineering, program and project management services. The company is ranked as one of the top civil engineering firms in Colorado, according to Colorado Construction Magazine. It was also ranked one of the top 200 hottest firms in the nation, according to Zwieg White, consulting and research company, which keeps tabs on industry news and provides a weekly management advisor, publications, and rankings to related businesses. The civil engineering department staff at Vision Land Consultants utilizes the latest in hardware and software technologies to produce the highest quality work on a timely basis. Tools include AutoCad 2005 and Civil 3D 2008 production software (including Land Development Desktop, Culvert Master, Flow Master, WaterCad / Cybernet, Hec-Ras, and more) and an extensive library of details and specifications.Engineering services range from single-lot residential driveway design to annexations, rezoning, plats and infrastructure design for larger residential and commercial developments.
