Grand County / Real Estate: Realtors conduct successful food drive

Penny Rafferty Hamilton
Volunteer Grand County Board of Realtors

Jennifer O’Connor of Real Estate of Winter Park recently organized a food drive for the empty shelves at the Mountain Family Center Food Bank. She encouraged local real estate offices to donate important non-perishable items. Donations were delivered by members of the Board of Realtors to local real estate offices at Century 21 Winter Park North and South offices, Stewart Title, Land Title, Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties in Winter Park, United Country Real Estate Central, Grand County Board of Realtors, and Re/max of Grand Lake offices.

O’Connor personally drove to the Mountain Family Center in Hot Sulphur Springs with boxes of needed items. Examples of Food Bank needs are cold cereal, soups/broth, crackers, oatmeal, chili, spaghetti/pasta and sauce, pancake mix, stew, evaporated milk, baked beans, baking mixes, tuna or hamburger helper, juices, applesauce, canned hams/meats, jelly/jam, dry beans, toothpaste, and paper goods. If your office or organization can sponsor a food drive to help your Grand County neighbors in need, call the Mountain Family Center at (970) 725-3257.
