Grand County veterans can manage health care needs online
May 5, 2011
Veterans using VA healthcare should ensure they enroll in “My HealtheVet,” http://www.myhealthevet.com, according to Grand County Veteran’s Officer Dave Jones.
This allows veterans to monitor and manage their health care, make appointments, and look at and order prescriptions.
To enroll in My HealtheVet, veterans should obtain a username and password at the veterans facility where they receive health care, then keep that information in a safe place.
After having enrolled in My HealtheVet, veterans can then enroll in ebenefits. This system allows veterans to track compensation and filed pension benefits. In the future, all Veterans will make their appointments for health care online. Go to http://www.va.gov and get the latest information. For more information, contact Jones at 970-725-3122.
