Hoedown benficiary appreciates generosity of Grand County community

To the Editor:

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the hoedown benefit that took place in my honor recently at Smokin Moe’s. I feel so special to have so many people pull for me, and am grateful to those who spent their time and effort to help me.

The generosity of everyone who attended the benefit has given me a great gift, one that will never be forgotten. I am constantly amazed at mankind.

Even in the face of economic hardship, my friends and community came out to support me in my fight against cancer. It gave me a newfound HOPE.

I was also rewarded with amazing feedback and support from other cancer survivors, and from those that respect and support my holistic approach to treatment.

A special thanks goes to Smokin’ Moe’s, to owners Dan Cormican and Ian Gough for donating the food and hosting the event, and to all my fellow staff members for donating their time and tips. I would also like to thank Andy Irvine, Brad Pregeant Terry Tompkins, Yaniv and Hunker Down for putting on one-heck-of a hoedown.

My thanks to John Catt, Jeanette McQuade, Juliana Feltz, Dan Cormican, Michelle Palm, Kevin Gilbert, Sheri Goldenberg, Chris Rohling, and Morgan Mallard for organizing the event, and for all of their time and effort, friendship and love.

I would like to thank Buckets Saloon, Cascades Cabins, Mo Henry’s, The Sushi Bar, Back Country Grill, Deno’s Mountain Bistro, Be…, Rudi’s Deli, Tranquility Massage, Verso Cellars, Carvers, Grand County Blues Society, Ice Box Mountain Sports, Mirasol Cantina, Art Ferrari, Carlos and Maria’s, Kayleen Reeve, Rising Sun Silverworks, Ed Raegner, B Jammin’, The Green Olive, Tabernash Tavern, Hernando’s Pizza Pub, Republic National Distribution Company, Fontenot’s, Subway, Ian Gough, Winter Park Pub, Rocky Mountain Moonshine, The Roofing Company, Mountain Grind, Christy’s Sports, Winter Park Resort, Singin’ Dog, Trail Ridge Art Company, Powder Tools, Silver Peaks Jewelry, and Ski Depot for their donations to the silent auction.

Thank you to all of you who participated in the auction and won GREAT Stuff.

I’d also like to thank Cindy McCoy and the Sky-Hi Daily News for their help with getting the word out there. I am completely blown away with the turnout and the success of the benefit.

Thank you for all of your prayers, kind words, and support. I am eternally grateful and feel very loved and cherished. I love you all and am truly blessed to have such great friends, and to live in such a giving community.
