It’s the countdown to the Meltdown in Tabernash

TABERNASH — Join Eternal Hills Christian Preschool on Saturday, March 28, for a family-friendly day of fun.

Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. there will be a Rug Rat Rummage Sale and Book Fair featuring gently used goods for children. Beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing to 3 p.m., a chili cook-off, silent auction, indoor carnival, live music, children’s games, face painting, and more will take place.

All proceeds will benefit the Eternal Hills Christian Preschool. Eternal Hills Christian Preschool provides children the opportunity to explore, learn, and development in a loving environment. The program features a child-directed approach and attention to the physical environment.

Childcare is a challenge in Grand County. According to a 2007 Grand County Community Health Assessment Report, demand for childcare is greater than the existing number of providers, especially for infant/toddler care. Additionally, the cost for childcare is one of the biggest barriers, costing as much as 30 percent of parents’ income. Fundraisers such as The March Meltdown, as well as grant funding, allow The Church of the Eternal Hills Christian Preschool to continue offering scholarships to local families in need of financial assistance.
