Letter: Democrats should quit drinking the Clinton/Obama Kool-Aid
August 13, 2013
To the Editor:
Regarding Felicia Muftic's recent column labeling Edward Snowden as a "man without a country", my counter argument would be from George Orwell: "In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." I have noticed Felicia's columns are often filled with pro-left drivel that usually supports the status quo and the Obama White House. Unfortunately, it appears she cannot distinguish herself from the false left-right paradigm of the crimes that have been committed by this current administration and the last three before Obama. When the acting president carries out crimes in spying on the American people with the apparatus set up by the 2001 September 11 attack, we have indeed traded our freedoms for ghosts and deserve neither. The Fourth Amendment guarantees our rights to not have the NSA record our phone and computer conversations, and President Obama surely does not seem to understand this. Traitors to our Constitution include current Republicans such as John McCain and John Boehner, both should be recalled out of office ASAP!
Edward Snowden is a hero for standing up to the Police State similar to the Gestapo being erected here in America today — even former Democrat and president Jimmy Carter has come out and said that "democracy is now dead in America." God bless Jimmy for speaking the truth and pray that he does not have to move to Russia for fear of ending up dead like Rolling Stone magazine editor Michael Hastings. Never in American history has dissent proved so deadly, and unpopular speech has brought both Hastings and newsman Andrew Breibart to an early grave in the last year. Concerning Edward Snowden, Jesus said it best himself in the New Testament: "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country." Does Felicia want to join the idiot Republican congresswoman Michele Bachman and call for the crucifixion of Edward Snowden as well? The days of Democrats drinking the Clinton/Obama Kool-Aid should be over, as there is not a shred of difference between this current usurper at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and the last president.
