Middle Park Fair and Rodeo Queen’s Scholarship Fund benefits from barrel racing event

A special barrel-racing competition to help raise scholarship money will take place next week during the Middle Park Fair and Rodeo in Kremmling.
The Open 4-D Barrel Race is slated for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, in the arena at the Middle Park Fairgrounds. All proceeds will benefit the Middle Park Fair and Rodeo Queen’s Scholarship Fund.
Barrel-racing events are: exhibitions at 5 p.m. for $5 per run; barrel race for ages 10 and under at 6 p.m. for a $15 per entry; barrel race for ages 50-plus for a $15 entry follows the age 10-and-under race; and the Open 4D Barrel Race for a $25 entry concludes the competition.
The competitors are required to wear a hat, long-sleeve shirt and boots.
Pre-entries will be taken on Monday, Aug. 4, from 5-7 p.m. by calling Jessie at (970) 531-3716. Entries will also be taken Wednesday, Aug. 6. Cash only.
The event’s organizers want to thank the staff members of the Flying Heels Rodeo, High Country Stampede Rodeo and Middle Park Fair Board for their assistance in setting up this special competition.
