Minor outages expected during power line rebuild near Gore Pass

Mountain Parks Electric plans to rebuild portions of the 50-plus-year-old overhead distribution line from single-phase to three-phase in order to maintain safe, reliable service to members in the future.

This line is located in the Gore Pass area. The rebuild begins at US Highway 40 and Colorado Highway 134 and extends for approximately eight miles west from the intersection. Equipment will be mobilized into this area commencing June 30. Expected target date for completion is Nov. 1, 2008. Minor outages may occur for brief periods during construction.
