MPHS Open Book: Being a freshman

Moreya Gardner
MPHS freshman

Amidst an unfamiliar world, we walk through doors leading us in a direction yet to be determined. In one deep breath, freshmen take in a new air full of surprises. Surrounded by experienced peers, we feel an overwhelming rush of intimidation. Following a different path, what lies ahead is insecure, out in the open to grab.

We seem naive and young, helpless to fit in and make it through each day. All is exciting when you reach the first step to adulthood, everything is new and unreliable, yet you are willing to jump in. As a freshman, life comes without limits, straight ahead with no stopping.
