Obituary: Faith G. Ashton

Faith G. Ashton psased away of a massive heart attack at her home in Congress, Ariz. on July 2, 2009.

She is preceded in death by husband Lowell Stanley Ashton, parents Herman and Gertrude Funkner, brother Kenneth Funkner and daughter Dawn Ashton.

Survivors include her son Kenneth Ashton, her daughter-in-law Evelyn Ashton, granddaughters Andrea and Mariah all of Westminster, sisters Gerri Edwards of Cave Creek, Ariz. and Granby, Phyllis Price of DeQueen, Ark. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Faith was born in Denver on July 24, 1943. She lived in Kremmling all of her life until her husband’s health forced a move to Arizona in 2002. They spent the first winter in Kingman, Ariz. and then bought a home in Congress, Ariz., where they resided until their deaths. After moving to Congress, she became a licensed CNA and worked for My Father’s Retirement Center in Wickenburg, Ariz. After her husband’s death, she attended the Prescott Community College in Prescott, Ariz. and became an LPN. She worked for the Wickenburg Hospital and MerciCare in Wickenburg, Ariz.

Her family and her friends, co-workers and patients in Wickenburg and Congress will sadly miss her.

At her request, no services were planned.
