Tonight, the Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce invites everyone (you don’t have to be a member) to “A Night of Christmas Magic” starting at 6 p.m. at the Bear’s Den. Enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres while mingling with your friends and neighbors.

The Full Moon Ski, this Saturday, Dec. 22, should be spectacular with all this new snow. Meet at the Grand Lake Touring Center from 5 to 9 p.m. to ski or walk the moonlit course and enjoy hot cocoa and roasted marshmallows around the campfire.

For details, call the Grand Lake Metro Rec District at (970) 627-8008.

The Kauffman House will hold its Holiday Open House on Dec. 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with refreshments, museum tours and a great selection of books and historical photos for sale. There is a special display of old trains around the Christmas tree and elsewhere in the museum, from the collection of J.R. Faivre. Admission by donation.

Opening night for “Trapped in a Villain’s Web … or Weave Me A Loan,” this year’s Olde Fashioned Christmas Melodrama, is Wednesday, Dec. 26. Tickets are $15 adults, $5 kids under 12, group tickets are $12 per person for parties of 8 or more.

Now available at Never Summer Sports – Grand Lake, Mini Mart – Granby and Elk Horn Gallery – Winter Park. There will be six performances this year, Dec. 26-31. Don’t miss it. Get your tickets early. It’s always a sell-out. Produced by the Grand Arts Council.

May your days be merry and bright.
