WOW. This weekend is the 62nd Annual Buffalo BBQ and Parade (is there anyone out there who remembers the first one?).Organized by the Grand Lake Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by an impressive group of businesses and organizations, this is Grand Lake’s premiere summer event. Volunteers are still needed to help out. If you can give some time call the chamber at 627-3402. Caroline’s Cuisine will be celebrating in its usual style with music, special menu and dancing Can-Can Girls – Oooo-la-la! Reservations are recommended for this fun night where all our local French friends gather. Call them at (970) 627-9404.The Grand Lake Women’s Club will be meeting Thursday, July 16th, at 1 p.m. at Trinity in the Pines Church in Grand Lake rather than the fire station. Bring a salad for a salad luncheon. We will be entertained by a few members of the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater.Every Tuesday for the rest of the summer, there’ll be live music by the fire on the patio at the Waconda, starting at 6 p.m.Sign up now for the “Rally for a Cure” golf tournament, July 21 at the Grand Lake Golf Course. Four person scramble, closest to the pin, longest drives and silent auction will guarantee a good time for all. In addition, Peggy Mann will give a presentation on the “I’m Just Breathing Retreat” and sing a couple of songs.
