Cathy Walton-Smith: Now receiving daily dispatches from the universe
December 17, 2008
This week, I joined Tut’s Adventurers Club and have started receiving daily notes from the Universe.
In doing so, I was asked to make the following pledge: “In the face of adversity, uncertainty and conflicting sensory information, I hereby pledge to remain ever mindful of the magical, infinite, loving reality in which I live. A reality that conspires tirelessly in my favor. I further recognize, that living within space and time, is the ultimate adventure, because thoughts become things, dreams come true, and all things remain forever possible. I hereby resolve to live, love and be happy, at all costs, no matter what, with reverence and kindness for all. So be it!”
It seemed to represent my philosophy of life ” and harmless. Besides, with the Winter Solstice coming up this weekend, it just seems like a good way to celebrate and connect with the universe.
The Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce needs your membership. They don’t require taking a pledge (that I know of), but memberships are due by Dec. 31. Please respond by this date in order to be included in the 2009 Grand Lake Vacation Planner and to take advantage of discounted rates for memberships received by the end of the calendar year.
Many area businesses are rewarding those of us who are shopping locally this holiday season. The Rustic Urn is pleased to offer 30 percent off all merchandise to Chamber Members and Grand Lake locals. Please mention this announcement to receive your discount.
