The volleyball team from Middle Park High School is continuing its strong run to postseason play with a six game win streak that has improved the team’s record to 13-3 and 9-0 in Frontier League play.

The Panthers played its final league game of the year on Thursday night against Bruce Randolph, the newest addition to the Frontier League. The evening was also highlighted by an opportunity for Coach Jim Glenn and his team to honor its senior players and their parents.

Middle Park will play its final regular season game of the year on Saturday against Delta in a game that will be played at Battle Mountain High School. Coach Glenn scheduled the game as a way for his team to get in a final tuneup before postseason play begins.

As the Lady Panthers prepare for postseason play, Coach Glenn said, they will continue to work on team chemistry and the critical timing between setters and hitters.

He noted that the challenge to take the next step and start competing for championships is when players adapt to conditions that are less than perfect and turn those situations to their advantage. Many players, he said, do well when everything is perfect and goes according to plan. It is when conditions are less than perfect that the best players rise to the top and the best teams are successful.
