Police looking for missing Colorado girl
April 1, 2010
GREELEY, Colo. (AP) – Police in northern Colorado are still searching for a 12-year-old Greeley girl missing since Sunday, when she left home to go to a friend’s birthday party.
Police say Kayleah Wilson was headed to meet a friend in an area just across a busy highway from her home, but never made it to her destination. Greeley is about 60 miles north of Denver.
Police have used dogs and have combed the medians, ditches and bushes along the highway for signs of the girl. Greeley police Sgt. Joe Tymkowych says there is no evidence, so far, that the middle schooler ran away or is a victim of foul play.
