WINTER PARK – Search and Rescue Public Information Officer Greg Foley reported no clues found in the Berthoud Pass search for Jeff Miller, 26 and his German shepherd dog Beau on Tuesday, Jan. 18, despite the efforts of over thirty rescuers that included 13 Grand County Search and Rescue members working with 28 civilian volunteers.

The search resumed today, Wednesday.

“We will be searching again today with manpower assistance, about 20 rescuers from the Alpine Rescue Team and Summit County Rescue Group. We anticipate about 15 from Grand County Search and Rescue. We will also be utilizing some civilian volunteers,” he said. “No additional volunteers are needed at this time.”

Weather remains a challenge, with snowfall and wind gusts up to 44 mph.
