Shining Stars hosts annual toy drive

TABERNASH – The nonprofit organizaiton Shining Stars is hosting its Third Annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit children living with cancer and other life threatening illnesses as well as their siblings. The toy drive is taking place Nov. 19 through Dec. 12. Area drop-off locations of donations are at the Shining Stars Foundation office in Tabernash on U.S. Highway 40, at the Bank of the West in Fraser, at Ski Depot Sports in downtown Winter Park, at New Life Chiropractic in Granby behind Mountain MacGyver’s Antiques, and at the East Grand Middle School in Granby. The Shining Stars hopes to generate gift cards or toys for ages 2-20. The following is a list of suggestions: Gift cards (Target, restaurants, Kohl’s, movie theatres, grocery stores); board games; clothing (infant-adult XL); musical instruments; Legos; puzzles; coloring books; dolls/Barbies; action figures; remote controlled car; art supplies and craft sets; DVDs (new releases and Disney); books; IPods; sports equipment; video games for Wii, XBox 360; and Nintendo DS; digital camera.
