SnowSports Industries America representatives will visit Winter Park
January 29, 2010
They’re coming! After being in Las Vegas for 37 years, this week the SnowSports Industries America has moved its annual trade show to Denver.
From January 28-31, the 2010 SIA Snow Show will deliver the industry’s newest trends, innovations, educational seminars, product presentations, personalities and events. The sold-out SIA Snow Show will feature more than 3,100 exhibitors representing 800 snow sports brands, including 125 new exhibitors.
After the show, industry representatives will head up to Winter Park Resort and Devil’s Thumb Ranch for the first-ever international On-Snow Demo/Free Ride Fest on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 1-2. Participants can try out the equipment and experience the latest technologies for ski, snowboard, AT, backcountry, cross country and snowshoe gear.
Organizers anticipate that about 3,000-4,000 people will descend on town Monday and Tuesday for the on-snow show. Winter Park-Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce Director Catherine Ross said Winter Park Resort lodging is sold out for the event and that lodging in Fraser and Winter Park are seeing increased bookings for the show.
