Be thankful for snow
November 23, 2016
By the time you read this Winter Park Resort will already be open (or just a few hours away from opening.) Monday night’s storm had the snow stake at eight inches on Tuesday morning with more snow to fall throughout the day. With an incredibly mild fall, it was no easy task to open the resort, but lifts will in fact start turning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
What will be open?
Trails: Sorenson Park –including a small terrain park (about six features); Lower Parkway; and Village Way.
Lifts: Gemini and Endeavor.
“This new snow has helped a bunch, and our crews are working non-stop to get more open as quickly as possible,” said Winter Park Resort’s Director of Public Relations and Communications Steve Hurlbert.
The Sunspot will be having Thanksgiving dinners on Thanksgiving Day. Reservations can be made at winterparkresort.com.
Saturday, Nov. 26
The Village Tree Lighting and Holiday Market. There will be 17 different vendors attending the first ever Holiday Market.
