Fraser’s High Country Stampede reloads for another show on Saturday

Known as the Best Little Rodeo in Colorado, the 2008 High Country Stampede Rodeo Series will be holding another of its exciting rodeos on Saturday in Fraser. This Saturdays rodeo, which is at the John Work Arena located one mile west of Fraser on County Road 73, will be the third of this years series. It will begin with the junior rodeo events at 4 p.m., followed by the open rodeo at 7 p.m.In addition to the exciting rodeo action, the Stampede also offers barbecue dinners that start every Saturday at 4 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m. In its 25th consecutive season, the High Country Stampede holds a rodeo every Saturday in July and August at the Fraser arena, which features a permanent cover with seating for more than 1,000 spectators.For more information about the Stampede rodeos, call the Winter Park-Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce at 726-4118.During the second rodeo of the 2008 High Country Stampede Series on Saturday, July 12, the cowboys and cowgirls competed at their best for a portion of the cash purse and series points.
