Granby’s Flying Heels Rodeo Series ends season with a bang

The 2008 Flying Heels Rodeo Series ended with a real bang not just from the Fourth of July fireworks spectacular held last Saturday night, but also with some of the best roping and riding performed by the competitors this year.The annual series final open and junior rodeo events were held at the Flying Heels Arena on U.S. Highway 40 in Granby. The series, which every year opens the rodeo season in Grand County, has staged a rodeo every Saturday since the Memorial Day weekend. During Saturdays final events, the cowboys and cowgirls not only gave it their all to win the final cash prizes, but also to rack up some additional points in the hope of winning the series awards.
