Winter Park kicks off Epic Singletrack Series

WINTER PARK — The Winter Park Competition Center is gearing up for the 21st Epic Singletrack Series at Winter Park Resort, which begins on Saturday, June 15 with the Excel Hill Climb. Registration is now open for all six races in this summer’s series at http://www.epicsingletrack.com.
In conjunction with Winter Park Resort opening for the summer season, the Epic Singletrack Series starts with the Excel Hill Climb, a 5.2 mile race on Trestle Bike Park trails that features 2,062 feet of climbing. Like all Epic Singletrack Series races, participants can choose from seven categories (pro/semi-pro, expert, sport, novice, Clydesdale, single speed, and open) ensuring a great day for riders of all abilities. Staggered start waves keep athletes spread out along the course.
Celebrating 21 years, the Epic Singletrack Series utilizes over 600 miles of mountain bike terrain in the Winter Park and Fraser Valley areas, providing athletes unique and challenging race courses.
The 2013 schedule includes: Race 1: Saturday, June 15, Excel Roofing Hill Climb; Race 2: Saturday, June 29, Super Loop; Race 3: Saturday, July 13, Point to Point; Race 4: Saturday, July 27, Colorado Epic XC; Race 5: Saturday, August 10, Race Rendezvous; Race 6: Saturday, August 25, King of the Rockies
