Timber Creek Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park to be closed for 10 days

Timber Creek Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park will be closed from noon on Tuesday, Aug. 11, through noon on Friday, Aug. 21, for resurfacing of the roads in the campground.

No resurfacing has been done in the campground since it was first paved in the mid 1960s, more than 40 years ago.

This work was initially scheduled to take place later in the summer. However, due to the availability of the equipment from the contractor conducting the work on Trail Ridge Road, the work has been rescheduled to begin this week.

Timber Creek Campground is located on the west side of the park and is a first-come, first-served campground.
