Town of Fraser awards contract to replace 1932 windows in Town Hall

The Fraser Board of Trustees awarded a contract to Legacy Building Specialties for the replacement of windows in Fraser Town Hall.

The windows in place are original, single-pane panels from 1932, said Fraser Town Manager Jeff Durbin.

Fraser received a $52,000 grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs to replace the windows. The town has a match for the grant, giving them $75,000 for the project.

The new windows will be similar to the original windows ” architecturally and historically, Durbin said. The difference will be in the energy savings.

“We should run the numbers of what we’ll save with these windows,” he said. “It will be dramatic.”
