At 8:20 p.m., Nov. 2, with 92 percent of the ballots counted (4,951 voters), several measures to allow medical marijuana facilities in towns and the county aren’t receiving a very warm welcome from voters.

In Grand County at large, 2,368 votes (50.8%) to prohibit medical marijuana centers have been counted while 2,293 votes (49.2%) to allow have been tallied.

Hot Sulphur appears to have defeated its medical marijuana center referendum, 60 percent opposed to 40 in favor.

Ballots from Granby and Fraser are still being counted but Fraser’s tally thus far shows 72 percent in favor of the centers and 28 percent in opposed while Granby’s tally shows 51 percent opposed and 49 percent in favor.
