Welcome summer with the 2010 Habitat Hobble on Saturday

On Saturday, June 19, Grand County Habitat For Humanity is holding its annual 5K run/walk, the Habitat Hobble, kicking off at 9 a.m. from the Fraser Visitor Center. The Hobble, Habitat’s only fundraising event, will raise money to build a home for the Bailey family of Grand County. The course will run south along the Fraser River into Winter Park, ending at Cooper Creek Square. The Hobble is a dog-friendly, family event, and includes a finish line party with food, prizes, a silent auction including a wealth of dining, lodging, and recreational opportunities, and a live broadcast with KRKY/KCMV radio. Participants are encouraged to register in teams of five. Teams who raise funds exceeding their registration fee will compete for the 2010 Team Spirit Trophy, which was won last year by the Marra & Levitz team. Registration is $30 for individuals and $120 for teams. You can register online at http://www.habitatgrandcounty.org or on the day of the event beginning at 8 a.m. at the Fraser Visitor Center. Registration forms are available at the Granby and Winter Park Chambers of Commerce, local libraries, at US Bank in Granby, or by calling 970-887-9138 or emailing info@habitatgrandcounty.org to request a registration form.
