Winter Park resident wins CSU Distinguished Alumni Award

Winter Park resident Susanne Jalbert, a senior diplomat with the United States Agency for International Development in Afghanistan, Herat Consulate, was awarded the College of Applied Human Sciences Honor Alumna Award at the Colorado State University Distinguished Awards dinner on Sept. 29.

Jalbert earned her master’s degree in vocational education and doctorate in education and human resource studies from Colorado State.

Jalbert has served as chief executive officer of Jalbert Consulting. She is an international business development consultant and economic activist. Her mission is equitable business development strategy and policy through institutional capacity building. To date, she has assisted USAID on 88 assignments in 45 countries, economically touching hundreds of thousands of lives.



Jalbert, who lives in Winter Park with her husband, continues to lecture extensively worldwide and has written business columns in Colorado and Moscow.
