Winter Park’s SolShine offers big names for no bucks

WINTER PARK – Music lovers don’t have to shell out big bucks to see big musical acts like Bret Michaels live in concert. In fact music fans can see great acts for free at the new Winter Park SolShine Music Festival, July 16-17, and Winter Park Music Festival presented by 103.5 The Fox, Aug. 6-7.July 16-17 will feature Winter Park SolShine Music Festival at Hideaway Park & Cooper Creek Square. This new free festival features national, regional and local live music.The line-up includes The Subdudes, Trampled by Turtles, Punch Brothers, Blind Pilot, Elizabeth Cook, Gregory Alan Isakov, Johan Wagner, Megan Burtt, Reed Foehl and Ramaya Soskin.Merchandise vendors and a food/beer garden will be in the venues to add to the festive atmosphere.Then on Aug. 6-7, the Winter Park Music Festival presented by 103.5 The Fox is scheduled. Bret Michaels headlines this free festival, which features classic music from the ’80s and ’90s. The event will be at Hideaway Park and has been expanded to two days for 2011.Other acts on the schedule include Warrant, Skid Row, and Lewis & Floorwax and The Groove Hawgs.
