Camber Brewing Co., offering multiple local brews, opens in Fraser

One of two new breweries opening this year in Fraser, Camber Brewing Co., located on Zerex Street, hosted its soft open April 26 to crowds of beer lovers eager to try local brews.

Owner Nick Crabb said he was pleasantly surprised by the community response to his brewery and grateful for the support from the county and the town of Fraser.

Crabb opened the brewery with a range of four beers, including the Doc Susie mocha stout, the corduroy cream ale, the ahh-pricot wheat and the rail slide red India pale ale.

“I wanted to have something for everybody on opening day,” he said.

Next up, Crabb said he will likely introduce either a saison or another variety of pale ale, since so far, the rail slide red IPA has been his most popular beer. Following that Crabb will brew his namesake Camber Amber.

He also hopes to get the Camber Cup Club, Crabb’s version of a mug club, up and running shortly.
