20 Under 40

Name: Elle Ennis

Age: 30

Profession: Real Estate Agent.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from Metropolitan State University.

Place of Employment: Real Estate of Winter Park.

What problem would you like to solve?

Curb climate change and utilize more wind and solar power.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Looking back over the past 10 years, I would never have predicted where I would be today. And with the pace of change in today’s economy, I could not presume to say I know where I’ll be in 10 years. However, if I am alive and well, I know I’ll be working hard on something exciting, growing and nurturing my family, and surrounding myself with people who inspire me.

Who’s your hero and why?

Rosa Parks. There couldn’t be a more fearless woman. When faced with hate and discrimination, she stood strong and believed in herself.

What is it about your generation that sets it apart?

As an eco boomer, I am lucky to have grown up during the introduction of technology. I feel fortunate to have had a raw childhood — playing outside and not being bogged down by technology — while still being introduced to it at a young enough age for it to now be a second language.

Why did you choose Grand County?

I grew up in Fraser, and left during college and the three years following. I chose to come back for two reasons: first, my family; second, my extreme appreciation for the sense of community that Grand County offers.

How do you like to play in Grand County?

Long walks with my dogs, summer softball, camping, and enjoying the Broome Hut with friends.

What kind of future do you see for your industry in Grand County?

I think the real estate industry will continue to be a major part of the future of Grand County.

If you could change one thing about Grand County, what would it be?

I wouldn’t change a thing.
