WINTER PARK – New Orleans native and singer/songwriter, Andrew Duhon, brings refreshing honesty with a matching performance that reflects his personal perspective. His voice leaves no gaps in the experience as he sings with raw and personal conviction. Don’t miss this rising star as he shines brightly at Music On The Mall Friday, Aug. 28, from 6-8 p.m.

Whether it’s love that crosses color lines, a family challenged by life’s unexpected turns or the woeful tale of a city left to drown, Duhon brings his audience into the most intimate of spaces through his storytelling. With 3 recordings, the latest of which, ‘The Moorings’, was nominated for a Grammy in 2014 for ‘Best Engineered Album’. He has toured solo for much of his career, and that troubadour element is certainly present, an usher of modern day folklore.

His latest group, The Andrew Duhon Trio brings a new musicality to the tunes with upright bassist, Myles Weeks and drummer ,Maxwell Zemanovic. Since recording ‘The Moorings’ together as their first project, the Trio has been crossing the American landscape, touring and creating together, the thoughtful colors of the trio breathing a new musicality and direction into Duhon’s songwriting traditions.

Music On The Mall is a summer concert series held every Friday through Sept. 4 from 6-8 p.m. at Cooper Creek Square in downtown Winter Park. The series is free and open to all ages. For more information go to http://www.coopercreeksquare.com or call 970-726-8891.
