The area lakes are fishing great. The lake trout have started their migration to deeper water. Havoc tubes, marabous and swim baits have been working well. Browns and rainbows are still cruising the shallows and will hit a variety of crank baits and jigs but it is an early or late bite.

The rivers in the area are blown out but clear. A good strategy is to fish the inlets to all the lakes. Flies, bait and lures will work. Grand lake is producing some large lake trout as well as browns along the shorelines. Pike in Williams Fork are starting to hit topwater baits. Kokanee at Wolford are very shallow, they might be 2-5 feet deep over 80 feet of water. Assorted spoons are working very well. Rainbows are cruising the shorelines, small tubes and spoons are a great bet. Rainbows and browns are cruising the banks at Dillon reservoir while the Char are moving deeper. Bernie Keefe has been guiding the middle park area for over 20 years.
