English rock band Foghat will play the Winter Park Music Festival on Aug. 15 in Hideaway Park.

Foghat, a 70s relic known for its hit “Slow Ride,” replaced Foreigner vocalist Lou Gramm in a last minute change in the festival’s lineup, said Diane Ehlert, marketing and sales director for the Winter Park/Fraser Chamber of Commerce.

Add in headliner 38 Special, and the festival is sure to be an anachronistic walk down memory lane for the Fraser Valley’s Gen Xers.

“The Winter Park Music Festival is always a great time for everyone,” said Catherine Ross, the chamber’s executive director, in a press release. “These legends of classic rock are sure to keep the crowd entertained all afternoon long.”

The Rick Lewis Project will also perform.

The free event is sponsored by 103.5 The Fox, Odell Brewing Co., Access Health Colorado and Rocky Mountain Honda Dealers.

Gates open at 10 a.m., and the music will last from noon to 6 p.m.
