A chamber music quartet from the Front Range, an ensemble of the US Air Force Academy Band, and an ensemble from the Boulder Brass comprise this summer’s Colorado lineup. Two concerts take place at the Church of the Eternal Hills in Tabernash while the Air Force Academy ensemble plays a free, outdoor community concert in Winter Park.

The Ivy Street Ensemble concert is generously presented by three Supporting Sponsors: Grand County Commissioners, Grand County TV17 and Sage Peak Associates, Inc. The quartet includes the Ivy Street Trio with guest artist Jeffrey Watson. The Ivy Street Trio includes musicians from the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.

Catherine Peterson is second/assistant principal flutist with the orchestra. Erik Peterson, violinist, has been with the orchestra since 1991. He has held several positions, including assistant concertmaster. With the orchestra since 1996, violist Philip Stevens performed with the Denali Ensemble, Metro State College’s Ariel Trio and the Friends of Chamber Music series. Guest artist Watson played with the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra and the New Century Chamber Orchestra in San Francisco. Currently, he is the principal cellist for the Colorado Springs Philharmonic.

From 1-3 p.m. on Friday afternoon, July 25, Pegasus, an ensemble of the U.S. Air Force Academy Band, will play at Hideaway Park in Winter Park. This free concert‘s program includes pop, rock, jazz and rhythm and blues. The Boulder Brass ensemble performs at 7 p.m. on Friday night, August 15, at the Church of the Eternal Hills, Tabernash.
