Nicklas 75 Years of Imagining More, awarded

Tim Nicklas will be honored by the International Skiing History Association with the 2015 Skade Award on April 7, 2016 at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen. The award is being presented for the book he authored, Winter Park Resort: 75 Years of Imagining More. The Skade Award is presented for an outstanding work on regional ski history or for an outstanding work published in book form that is focused in part on ski history.

Tim Nicklas is the administrator for the Grand County Historical Association and the museum director of the Grand County Pioneer Village Museum in Hot Sulphur Springs.

Cooper Creek mural creatures fund local nonprofits

In partnership with Winter Park artist Shannon Foley Henn, Cooper Creek Square has debuted a public mural on the retail center featuring stick figures and animals representing donors participating in a new fundraiser.
