Rocky Mountain Rep Youth Theatre takes the stage this weekend in Grand Lake

Grand County stars ages 10 to 12 will shine on stage this Saturday and Sunday as Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre’s 2013 Youth Theatre Programs take the stage in August. This weekend, the Youth Theatre Production workshop will be performing the toe-tapping hit, “Best of Both Worlds.” This pop musical adventure is a modern-day romp that features time traveling fairy tale characters as they try to fit in at a local high school. “This year’s cast is so exceptional,” gushed director Laura Ewing. “Audiences are going to be amazed at what these kids have accomplished. The script is a lot of fun, but it’s the performances that are going to blow everyone away.”

RMRT’s Youth Theatre Workshops has Laura and Joel Ewing back to direct these popular programs that have delighted the community of Grand Lake for over 10 years.

Showings are at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4. All performances take place on the RMRT stage. For tickets, call the RMRT Box Office at (970) 627-3421 or online at
